| Instructions: 1. Open each one of the embroidery designs in your embroidery program and print each one out full size. I used two of the leaf printouts to help with placing the designs apart at even distances. With a ruler, make a line connecting the horizontal and vertical center of the design template, to find the exact center of the design. Make a hole in the center of the templates. 2. Plan out your design by placing the template where you want the design to be and with a chalk pencil, make a mark where the center of the design should be located. Do this all around the front of the skirt. Note: I did only the front of the skirt because I felt that the metals and crystals might be a little uncomfortable to sit on! |

| 3. Hoop a sheet of HydroTak or tearaway stabilizer.
Moisten the HydroTak or lightly spray the tearaway stabilizer and lay the hem of the skirt down on the stabilizer. Center your needle and stitch out the leaf pattern all around the skirt, moving the skirt as necessary. I used the extra large hoop and just moved the needle in place for each group of leaves, but a 4-inch by 4-inch hoop also can be used. 4. With the shirt, mark anywhere you want the centers of the flowers to be on the shirt. Use the fusible PolyMesh or use a light spray of adhesive to adhere the stabilizer to the back of the shirt. With the flowers on the shirt, I used the very small hoop and moved the hoop with every flower. Center the needle to your marks and stitch out the flowers moving the shirt as necessary. To rid your shirt of any hoop marks, lightly mist the marks with spray sizing and rub your hand or a lint brush over the mark. 5. The embroidery part of the project is now finished. 6. Heat the Kandi Kane with one of the flat tips or heat
your little iron. |
